Surf that curl and wave - Glossy
, loose curls and glamorous waves are in this season. The good news is, it's a look anyone with medium to longer-length hair can achieve.
Whether your hair is sleek and straight and in need of some bounce, or your naturally curly hair looks more frizzy than wavy, there's a technique to help you achieve this sexy, full look.
Drop dead sexy curls – get the look with your grandma’s curlers!
Take a section of hair the same width as the roller from the centre front. Comb through, taking care to keep ends tucked in tight around the barrel, with no bits escaping, and then wind roller to the scalp, maintaining an even tension. Wind down until the roller sits comfortably on the roots. Continue from the front of the hair towards the back of the head.
If it’s a looser feel you're after, tip your head back, shake up those curls and spray. If you want a sexy look, thoroughly brushes the hair through with good brush then tease the hair into place.
If you want soft, naturally tousled curls then reach for the straightening irons. Start by taking random, large sections of hair and apply the iron as though you were going to straighten. Instead of sliding the iron down, keep on turning it so that the bottom of the hair gets tucked around the iron, carry on turning until you run out of hair and you are curling the bottom of the hair.
An effective way to tame frizzy curls and achieve a glossy finish is to use minimal amounts of product on each section. For best results, apply sparingly on wet hair, distributing evenly throughout; then comb through with a large toothed comb. Next, taking large sections, twist the hair around your finger to create a ringlet effect. To dry, use a diffuser and separate each ringlet out, but only once the hair is dry. This method will prevent curls going frizzy and make them much more defined.
Don't get stressed by trying to curl very heavy straight hair. There's little you can do to stop the weight pulling down the curl in a very short time. If you're determined it's curls you want, you have to consider a perm.
